What areas do you service?
I offer home visits for breastfeeding support in McDonough, Locust Grove, Stockbridge, Jackson, Hampton, Griffin, Conyers and Covington. Virtual care can be done from anywhere.
Do you accept insurance?
I do accept insurance. I am currently able to accept United, BCBS PPO, Anthem PPO, VA CCN, Multiplan, PNOA and Cigna. If you do not have one of the above plans, as superbill will be provided to seek reimbursement.
How long does a consult last?
In-home consults last around 2 hours for an initial visit and 1 hour for a follow-up visit. Virtual consults are typically one hour.
Can you help with pumping?
I can help with pumping as well, whether you have decided to exclusively pump or you are pumping occasionally. We can determine the best flange size for you to make pumping comfortable and come up with a plan for you to pump.
How do I prepare for my visit?
Write down any questions that you may have so we can make sure to address all of your questions and concerns. If you have any tools or devices that you are using, such as a nipple shield, nursing pillow, bottles, etc. then have those on hand for our visit. Try to have your baby be ready to eat at the time of the visit. If your baby does get hungry before the visit then feed a small amount to keep your baby happy, but avoid giving an entire feeding so that your baby will be ready to eat.
